Our Curated Home
“Curated” means “Carefully chosen and thoughtfully organized or presented.” I advocate for curating pieces that feel like ‘home’ to me, familiar and vulnerable - a safe place to land. I’m a bit of a maximalist, but I prefer interiors that balance objects from the past and present, blending and crossing over pieces to enhance the telling of our story. And just like most stories happen over time, the changes I’ve made to each room characterize the facets of many seasons gone by. It’s like writing a family history chronicling our highs, lows, and everything in between.
“Your home reflects the essence of your soul - it’s all about the experience and the senses. I believe the inner peace we all search for is within our homes, in the feeling and essence our spaces create.”
- Paige
These two chairs are midcentury and a pair from my childhood home. I feel like they beautifully display that era's quality material and gorgeous detail. I love that our home reflects a bit of the past and present.
I love to create layers of texture with collections: hand-thrown pottery, art, and books, along with vintage finds and heirlooms. Together, each piece tells the complete story of a home.
I’m continually drawn to vintage mirrors. They keep stories and add depth to any space.
“There’s beauty in gathering pieces
out in the world for your home.”
- Paige
As design details, gathered pieces bring a sense of depth and history. While never planned precisely as part of a well-thought-out aesthetic, they evolve and take a thoughtful, intentional approach to enhancing a space.
Gathered pieces are amazing details for the design. They bring a sense of depth and history to the space unmatched by modern manufactured goods. While never planned precisely as part of an aesthetic, they naturally merge with the rest of the design details, bringing a rich and storied history into the home as it evolves.
Our coffee table is stacked with interior design books for inspiration and vintage books in assorted genres. Vessels of pottery, marble, and glass are filled with dried, fresh, and wild foraged branches to bring the outside back in.
Since our collections are so curated and diverse, I prefer a light, airy, and neutral space for layering. The texture and custom-made pillows, rugs, hides, leathers, and woven textiles are essential for my upholstered pieces. It's all about creating a comfortable space!
I want everyone to feel welcomed when they come in. Make yourself at home and stay a while!
My home design aesthetic nurtures the five senses: touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste. Acoustic or instrumental jazz is always softly playing in the background. I find that music throughout the house creates a calm, inviting atmosphere.
Home is a state of mind; it reflects how we feel within our spaces and what we see within our daily rhythms of life. These comforting elements make up our home—a place to renew our souls and make beautiful memories with family and friends.
As I begin each day, our coffee nook brings a sense of peace. It's a small, simple space we carved out during the renovation with a window overlooking our hydrangeas and roses. It’s filled with handmade mugs I’ve collected over the years, along with unique creamers and a beautiful gilded mirror.

“The kitchen is known as ‘the heart of the home’; it truly centers and grounds everyone inside.” - Paige
This favorite curated corner in our kitchen always works hard. Along with collected cutting boards, it houses stoneware, a wooden mortar/pestle, and a large copper stew pot. The vintage painting and brass sconce makes the space unique without sacrificing functionality.
Our all-white kitchen blends modern details and an ‘old soul’. A small footprint isn’t always a problem to be solved. This space conveys love, and we fill it with love in return.
“To linger at the table long after the meal has been eaten is the greatest accomplishment of the story of home.”
-Paige
Our guest bedroom, with its two queen beds, welcomes family and friends and invites everyone to stay awhile.
Our screened-in porch beckons guests to sit around the fire, sip a glass of wine, read a book,
listen to music, gather for a meal, or watch a ballgame! The inside/outside design invites us to be present in the moment - my happy place!
Our home on Thornton Farm is nothing short of our heart - all of our family, memories, and favorite things. I hope you’ve enjoyed this tour of our place and that you’ve been inspired to curate wherever you are.
